Pale Sun gathered to record Tides over the winter of 2022-2023, bringing to life songs written in various stages and with various lineups since their first release Darkmoonwhiteout in 2016. This record was approached with a focus on capturing the energy and vibe of the band playing live in one room as one entity. The mood of the record rises and falls like the tides, pulling the listener from the murky depths to the brightest skies. The lyrics range from despair and anger to heartfelt optimism which reflects our world in an honest light.
